To strengthen the Sales Organization, we are looking for an English and Chinese speaking Asia Pacific Sales Manager with the responsibility for developing and implementing our client’s sales strategy in Asia.

Developing Sales on the Asian market

You will be part of a dynamic and ambitious company with dedicated employees who are all focusing on expanding the sales of On Robot’s unique technology with relevant distributors and dealers. After initial learning, you will be responsible of developing sales to distributors and dealers on the Asian market. On Robot will be represented on all the strategic markets in the robot and automation industry. You will report back information on market, demand and needs of the customers in each and every market.

Based on the direct contact with dealers concerning customer inquiries and “cold leads”, your task will be to make the technical clarification with the dealers/customers, and bring this feedback to the innovation and development resources. You will also be responsible for sales training and informing dealers on any key information concerning the company’s products and technology.

Main tasks

  • Establishing good relations to the local dealers and sales reps, and dealing with direct customer contact
  • Uncovering customer needs (primarily partners/dealers)
  • Sales and counseling to existing and possible new clients (primarily partners/dealers)
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales activities and goals
  • Defining and implementing strategies for participation in exhibitions and fairs
  • Providing feedback from customers to the innovation and development team

Professional profile: Technical interest and sales experience

You have a relevant educational background from either engineering or business administration, supplemented with work experience in technical sales for 4-5 years, where you can show a proven track record. Experience from automation or robot technology will be a further advantage. As the job will involve sales activities in most of Asia, you must be able to travel 80-120 days per year, where the task will be to both visit distributors and dealers, but also to attend exhibitions where you will be responsible for On Robot’s strategy towards this.

You speak English and Chinese at a proficient professional level in order for you to communicate independently with the customers. Danish language skills will be a further advantage.

Additionally the position urges the following personal qualities: You are challenge driven, result-oriented and possess a strong character as well as good communicative and executive skills. You possess a high level of discipline and persistency enabling you to negotiate and close deals and contracts. Furthermore, your cross-cultural skills should be very present in your daily work.
